StuFund Unveils Website in Spanish

Student Funding Group, LLC (StuFund), the national college loan provider, launched its Spanish-language website today. The development of this site is in keeping with the StuFund mission of educating people about opportunities in higher education.

“The Spanish translation of our site is critical to reaching a broader segment of our customers. This is incredibly important.” said Sergio Sotolongo, StuFund Chairman and CEO. Hispanic Americans represent a growing segment within the U.S. population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the estimated Hispanic population of the U.S. as of July 1, 2005 was 42.7 million, making people of Hispanic origin the nation’s largest ethnic or race minority. Hispanics constituted 14% of the nation’s total population. (This estimate does not include the 3.9 million residents of Puerto Rico.) “Our hope is that this site will help many families make informed choices for their educational planning” added Sotolongo.
